Wither the Lakers?

And what about the Lakers? Are we going to delude ourselves into thinking they could actually take Phoenix in the first round, simply by virtue of a nice late-season run in which Kobe's supporting players finally found that shot of plasma they've been searching for all season, and came to semi-life with some solid production? I'm not buying it, friends.

I don't know. Lakers and the Kings may be the two most potent offensive teams in the West right now. Inconsistent, sure. But, man are they both dangerous.

Meanwhile, Stoudamire's surgery on his knees will keep him out of play through at least the first round. Suns will look to Steve Nash for the spark. Take him out of the game, and well, anything can happen.

I think my Kings have a tougher road ahead facing San Antonio in the first round...but reigning champs can get lazy, no? We beat them badly two weeks ago. My fingers are crossed.

Good luck, everyone.

Well that was an exciting 1st round, no? Kings and Lakeshow went pretty far...both with anti-climatic, disappointing endings.

And I'm sure no one will understand...but, Goodbye, Rick. It's been a wonderful journey.
